Welp, the editor-in-chief of the Chicago Sun-Times today forbade me to mention my impending departure from the paper in my last two columns.

That felt all kinds of wrong to me. After years of writing from the heart to a loyal readership, not mentioning I was leaving was an option I was unwilling to entertain.

So I'm done. No more columns for the S-T.
